Gerrit Bartsch specialises in international tax law, with a strong focus on projects in the renewable energy, real estate and maritime sectors.
His expertise spans structuring advice for both buyers and sellers in M&A and private transactions, tax contract drafting and negotiations, double taxation and the EU law aspects of cross-border transactions.
Recent work highlights include advising on the structuring of international investments into German renewable energy (onshore and offshore wind) projects and the maritime industry.
Gerrit has also been awarded “The Best Lawyers in Germany” in the field of Project Finance and Development Practice by Best Lawyers in cooperation with business magazine Handelsblatt.
At the UE Gerrit Bartsch teaches External accounting, Balance sheet policy, Transformation tax law and International tax law.
