Prof. Dr. Thomas Burgartz is Dean of the Department of Economics and Head of the Corporate Management Master Program in Iserlohn. He holds a diploma degree in economic sciences, as well as doctorate magna cum laude in KPI-based controlling from the Dortmund University of Technology. His dissertation was awarded as the best dissertation in 2007 by the “Gesellschaft für Controlling e.V.” founded by Prof. Dr. Thomas Reichmann, one of the most renowned controlling pioneers. Professor Burgartz is an expert in the field of performance measurement, cost management, accounting and controlling. Specifically, in the area of value-based customer management, Prof. Burgartz has both project-oriented and scientific expertise.
