Prof. Uwe Freimuth is the Program Coordinator and Director of International Sports and Event Management for the Master Program. Professor Freimuth joined UE Berlin in 2013, bringing with him expertise in the field of Sports Management, the main pillar is Sports Science, which covers sports physiology, sports nutrition, recovery, and additional experience in International Sports, Event Management, Organizational Development, and Project Management. He specializes mainly in the theory and analysis of sports and project development in the sports sector
A former competitive decathlete who achieved many successes at the European and World Championships as well as the Olympics, he has been awarded a doctorate after studying at Deutsche Hochschule für Körperkultur und Sport in Leipzig. He was a trainer from 1988 to 2000.
After positions in Potsdam, Kuala Lumpur, Munich, Würzburg, and Hanoi, Uwe Freimuth founded his own software company in the soccer management sector, and lectured at Privatuniversität Seekirchen in Austria.
