Global University-Ranking: BiTS among the top schools

BITS is among the 25 best schools with international orientation worldwide

Iserlohn, Hamburg, Berlin, April, 6, 2016 – Business and Information Technology School (BiTS) takes a top rank due its international focus.

The recently published university survey “U-Multirank“ compares over 1.300 schools in more than 90 countries based on a wide range of factors. BiTS is among the world´s best 25 schools when it comes to studies abroad and student mobility.

U-Multirank is a project initiated by the European Union. It was developed by the Dutch Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) and the German Centrum for Hochschulentwicklung (CHE).

“U-Multirank is great. It´s a way to demonstrate our individual character in a worldwide context “, says Professor Dr. Stefan Stein, rector at BiTS. “We want to show our school´s profile. We are standing for something and we advocate for it. What distinguishes us from other schools is the international focus.”

BiTS is part of Laureate International Universities. With more than 1.000.000 students and 88 institutions, Laureate is the largest university network worldwide. This network allows for a variety of possibilities for international exchanges. Professors from Real Madrid Graduate School are teaching at BiTS as guest lecturers on a regular basis.

Thanks to digital technology students are able to experience intercontinental lectures and practice oriented projects with students abroad. International complimentary degrees are possible; Bachelors- and Masters Programs in English language, integrated study abroad semesters and attractive programs for international students in Germany are the basis for very high international student mobility.

BiTS also received very good ratings in other areas of the U-Multirank 2016.The school´s interaction with the local economy and the teaching quality got very good results. Professor Stefan Stein: “These excellent results show that our innovative teaching approaches, the close relation to practice and the focus on internationality complement each other very well. All this raises the profile of our students and makes them extremely interesting for the job market.”
