Software Engineering, BSc

Students develop solutions and computer programs to activate computer game interaction to build high-quality 2D and 3D games. They will also collaborate on projects with fellow programmers and game artists to create a commercially viable game from concept to live prototype.

In this software engineering program, students not only learn about current challenges and solutions in software design and architecture, but they are also taught to develop solutions that are based on professional clean and secure code and learn about the new trend in mobile application development. The students will be able to build software and design and implement smart software benefit from the learning outcome from cloud computing and machine learning.

The Bachelor's degree course in Software Engineering comprises six semesters. In addition to basic modules such as “Programming”, you will gain a holistic insight into the industry with modules such as “Big Data & Analytics”, “Cloud Computing & Distributed Systems” and “IT Security”.

Spotlight-Module: "Big Data & Analytics"

In the “Big Data & Analytics” module, you will learn about the importance of business intelligence and data science in the business environment. You will understand the possible applications and opportunities of data analysis projects in various areas and know the purpose and roles of data management and data governance.
Students will be able to communicate the results of data analysis, apply methods of data analysis and data visualization to solve practical problems and interpret and critically reflect on the results of data analysis.

What happens after graduation?

With a degree in software engineering, you have the option of adding a corresponding master's degree, but there are also many exciting positions available in local or international companies. Software engineering graduates are in high demand and can work in specialized software companies or public institutions as well as in management consulting or in software and IT departments of large corporations.
