Curriculum | MBA Investment Banking

During the second and third semesters, you will dive into the specialisation modules ‘Advanced Corporate Finance’ and ‘M&A and Private Equity’.

Throughout this three-semester course, the MBA Investment Banking curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business practices through modules such as Innovation Management and Leadership Management. By choosing to study MBA Investment banking, students will be taught two specialisation modules in the second and third semesters which are designed to give them the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in the finance sector.

Spotlight module: ‘Advanced Corporate Finance’

In this module, we will cover topics in corporate finance that are essential for you to master as part of this programme as well as to succeed as a finance professional. You will learn about the different financial instruments used by companies to raise equity and debt financing, risk management within an organisation and techniques applied to evaluate capital investments. The module is structured as five units, namely Real Options, Financing Decisions, Investing Decisions and Analysing the Firm’s Liquidity, Risk Management, and Mergers and Acquisitions.
The aim of this module is to equip learners with instruments for the evaluation of investment and financing decisions and to assess their financial and strategic consequences, in both domestic and international contexts.
