Graduates can apply knowledge of contemporary tools and technologies for product management. In addition, our students will learn all aspects of the development of digital products, enabling them to analyse consumers and market events using the methods of the subject and to derive strategies for innovative digital products from this.

Curriculum | Digital Product Management
Across six semesters, students who choose to study product management will gain a wide range of in-demand skills and in-depth knowledge from management basics and design thinking to the BA thesis and final project. The bachelor’s degree in digital product management also includes a semester abroad or internship during the fifth semester to further students’ real-world experience and enable them to apply their knowledge in a practical setting.

Digital Product Management at a glance
Graduates of our Bachelor programme in Digital Product Management have a broad, interdisciplinary and integrated understanding of business, information technology, quantitative and legal principles. They can independently and holistically identify business opportunities, formulate structured requirements for digital products and coordinate agile development teams and organisations.
During the product management degree, students are encouraged to deal scientifically with socially relevant issues and acquire social skills that strengthen their teamwork, communication and cooperation skills as well as intercultural competence. Therefore, choosing to study product management, contributes to students’ personal development.
Due to the professional and conceptual proximity of digital product managers to the field of UX/UI design, students also explore media, art and cultural theory in the first semesters to participate in current and future discourses that precede the creation of relevant digital content.
In the elective subjects, students can develop individual subject specialisations in the areas of Digital workflow, User Research & Insight Generation as well as Strategic Design and Start-Up Culture.
Studying digital product management at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences will provide you with a highly dynamic and interdisciplinary education in one of the tech industries’ most relevant areas. You will acquire hands-on knowledge of your discipline through collaboration with industry partners and practical experiences.
- Develop and manage one or a series of digital products (e. g. web-based or mobile applications, user-specific and customised products).
- Conduct strategic market analysis to generate a competitive advantage
- Understand user and buyer personas and develop unique value propositions for both.
- Analyse and continuously improve existing digital products.
- Increase retention rates and customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Create and prioritise strategic product roadmaps.
- Work in close exchange with UX and CX designers.
A portfolio with samples of work is welcome but not required.
