“When I started at UE, my English skills were mediocre. I was very worried about the semester abroad. But a knot was broken at the university. Among other things, I broadened my international horizons during my time in Madrid and now I have much more confidence in myself.”
“UE gave me the structure I needed, but also enough space to develop. The content of the programme was very good; I benefited a lot from it and from the people at the university. You are guided, but you can go your own way. During my time as a working student, I came into contact with the commercial aspects of digitalisation for the first time. I then did an internship at Microsoft in Munich in e-commerce. As I got to know the field better and better, I realised that football clubs were not taking advantage of the commercial possibilities of digitalisation. So I worked out a concept for optimising Borussia Dortmund’s online shop and sent it to the managing director of BVB merchandising – just like that. I quickly received feedback and was able to prove myself as a working student at BVB. That was amazing! My dream came true! I didn’t make it into the stadium, but working for BVB did!
Then I wanted something new and applied to Porsche. I was accepted within a very short time.”
