Statement of Solidarity of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences

As a German university with international students we are deeply rooted in the values of the European Union and of the German constitution such as human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and the protection of human rights.

Therefore, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) condemns the violence against students, university staff and scientists and anyone who stands up for human rights, freedom of speech and the rule of law and declares its solidarity.

We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot comment on all worldwide violations of our values, although they concern us very much. With regard to the situation in Iran, we refer to the statement of the German Rectors’ Conference, which we very much support.
